PRIVACY POLICY

At Community South, protecting your privacy is of the highest importance to us and we acknowledge the expectations you have regarding the confidentiality of any and all information shared with us. Our Information Security Program is designed to protect your data through procedural, physical and electronic safeguards which utilize state-of-the-art security practices and comply with federal regulations.  Although privacy laws pertain to consumer financial transactions, the entire Community South Small Business Lending Division receives training and follows specific procedures to protect your information.

In order to process your loan request, we collect and use various types of information in order to better respond to your borrowing needs. Broadly speaking, this information is nonpublic in nature and encompasses:

  • Application Data - information that you provide to us on applications and through other means. Examples include the physical address, zip code, phone number, financial assets, income and debt for you and/or your company. 
  • Transaction and Experience Information — information about previous transactions with Community South. Examples include account balances, payment history, requests for information and our responses.
  • Consumer Report Information — information from a consumer credit report which will reflect a personal credit score and credit history.
  • Other General Information from Outside Sources — information from outside sources regarding other credit relationships. Examples include loan balances, credit card balances, property insurance coverage and other verifications.
  • We may also collect information and take actions necessary to verify your identification.

Our Loan Application is available for download on our website and also through a local representative.  We may request additional information through email, telephone, facsimile and/or mail.  We will not sell or share your information with others outside the bank except to process your request or unless required by law.

If you choose to complete our Loan Application (or other documents) and email or fax these documents to us, note that you do so at your own discretion.  Once we have received your application, however, all information will be maintained with appropriate security measures.
